Sweet Somethings – Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all orders placed with Sweet Somethings (www.sweetsomethingscakes.co.uk).

By making a payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.

1. Prices & Quotations

All quotes are valid for 6 months from the date issued, unless otherwise stated.

Prices may be subject to change due to factors beyond our control (e.g. ingredient cost increases). Once a deposit is paid, the quoted price is secured.

2. Save the Date Booking Fee

To secure your event date before finalising your design and quote, a non-refundable £50 ‘Save the Date’ booking fee is required.

This fee:

• Secures your event date in our diary

• Will be deducted from your final cake price once your order is confirmed

• Is non-refundable if you later cancel

3. Deposit & Payment Schedule

• A 20% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your order and begin design and production planning.

• The remaining balance must be paid no later than 4 weeks prior to the event or collection date.

Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in cancellation of your order with no refund of the deposit.

4. Payment Methods

Payments can be made via:

Bank transfer

PayPal

Bank details will be provided upon booking. Please use your order name/reference when making payment and email confirmation once payment has been made.

5. Late Payments

If the balance is not received by the due date, Sweet Somethings reserves the right to cancel the order and release the date to other clients. In such cases, all deposits and booking fees are non-refundable.

6. Changes to Orders

Design changes are welcomed up to 4 weeks before the event/collection date.

Any changes requested after this point may not be possible and could incur additional charges.

7. Collection & Delivery

• Collection or delivery arrangements will be agreed in advance.

• Once the cake has been collected or delivered, responsibility for the cake passes to the client.

• We are not responsible for damage caused after collection/delivery, including mishandling, weather conditions, or venue issues.

8. Cancellations

If you cancel your order:

• The £50 Save the Date fee is non-refundable

• The 20% deposit is non-refundable

• If cancellation occurs within 4 weeks of the event/collection date, full payment may still be required due to costs already incurred

Cancellations must be made in writing via email.

9. Postponements

If you need to postpone your event, we will do our best to transfer your booking to a new date, subject to availability. If we are unable to accommodate the new date, it will be treated as a cancellation.

10. Allergies & Dietary Requirements

While every effort is made to accommodate dietary requirements, Sweet Somethings cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment as all products are made in a kitchen that handles nuts, dairy, gluten, and other allergens.

11. Force Majeure

Sweet Somethings reserves the right to cancel a booking due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g. illness, fire, extreme weather). In such cases, a full refund of payments made will be issued.

12. Acceptance of Terms

Payment of the Save the Date fee, deposit, or any part of the order total constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
